Bachelor's or Master's degree in School Psychology, active School Psychologist license and minimum 1+ years School Psychologist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A school district in Edinburg, TX, is seeking a dedicated and skilled School Psychologist to support students across various grade levels, from Kindergarten through 12th grade. This contract position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the academic and emotional well-being of students within a dynamic educational environment. Key Responsibilities: Conduct psychological evaluations and assessments to identify student needs. Collaborate with teachers, parents, and administrators to develop effective intervention strategies. Provide counseling and support services to students to foster mental health and academic success. Assist in creating individualized education plans (IEPs) and monitor student progress. Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to support student development and resolve challenges. Qualifications and Desired Experience: Certification or licensure as a School Psychologist. Experience working with students in Grades K-5, 6-8, and 9-12. Strong assessment and counseling skills tailored to diverse student populations. Ability to collaborate effectively with school staff and families. Knowledge of current educational laws, regulations, and psychological practices.
