Dishwasher (Part-time) Job at Cornerstone Church Inc in San Antonio

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Part-Time Dishwasher to join our kitchen team at Cornerstone Church. The Dishwasher will be responsible for ensuring that all dishes, utensils, glassware, and cooking equipment are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized, supporting the kitchen's smooth operation. This role is essential in maintaining a clean and organized environment, contributing to the overall efficiency of the kitchen and upholding the restaurant's high standards of cleanliness and food safety. Job Summary The Dishwasher is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation in the kitchen by ensuring that all dishes, glassware, utensils, and cooking equipment are thoroughly cleaned and properly stored. This role supports the kitchen team by maintaining an organized and efficient work environment, contributing to the overall flow of the kitchen operations. The Dishwasher is also responsible for following all health and safety regulations to ensure a clean and safe environment for food preparation and service. Key Responsibilities

• Wash dishes, glassware, utensils, and cooking equipment using dishwashing machines or by hand when necessary.
• Ensure that all cleaned items are properly stored in designated areas.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dishwashing area and surrounding kitchen spaces.
• Assist in the cleaning and sanitizing of kitchen equipment, floors, walls, and other areas as needed.
• Remove trash and recycling from kitchen and dining areas and ensure it is disposed of in appropriate bins.
• Follow all health and safety guidelines to maintain food safety standards.
• Assist kitchen staff with food prep tasks when needed.
• Report any maintenance or equipment issues to the Executive Chef.
• Work efficiently during peak hours to ensure the kitchen remains well-stocked and clean.
• Assist in the restocking of supplies such as soap, detergent, and clean towels.
• Help with additional cleaning tasks such as deep-cleaning ovens or refrigerators as requested.
• Comply with all health and safety regulations, including ServSafe guidelines.
• Perform additional duties as needed to support the ministry and its objectives.

Education and Experience • Previous experience in a kitchen or restaurant environment is preferred, but not required. Skills and Abilities

• Ability to work quickly and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and food safety.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift heavy items.
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team.
• Flexible availability, including weekends, early mornings, and holidays
