Esquire is seeking a Designer to work across multiple platforms to help shape the visual direction of one of the most iconic brands in media. Responsibilities include multi-platform design (print, digital, website, social), photoshoot art direction, visual strategy, illustration, typography, video, and all forms of creative ideation. The ideal candidate will possess a high level of design sophistication, an eye for detail, and the ability to consistently meet deadlines with inspiring ideas and a great attitude. We are seeking someone who is excited to contribute to the award-winning journalism, fashion, culture, and visually compelling content that has defined this iconic brand for over ninety years. This role reports into the Executive Design Director.

Key Responsibilities Execute artistic design and layout solutions for content Create mood boards, infographics, and design elements for digital features. Assist in the creation of content for social media platforms Create video design as needed Design layouts for Apple News+ issues Contribute art concepts to visual meetings with editors and the art department. Work on projects from concept to postproduction, making sure designs meet brand standards and deadlines. Collaborate with editors and art directors to develop and execute visual concepts. Commission illustrations Prepare mood boards for various photoshoots to help create cohesive visual storytelling across all platforms. Create visual assets for newsletters, e-commerce, presentations, events, and various brand initiatives. Maintain a cohesive brand aesthetic and identity across all platforms including print, digital, social, video, and various brand projects Develop graphic elements and visual content for print, website, video, social, and all other digital platforms-including optimizing photos, resizing and cropping images, original collages, and creating conceptual artwork. Qualifications (What We're Looking For)

You have at least 3+ years of relevant experience. You are a master of digital design tools such as Adobe Photoshop, Adobe InDesign, and Adobe Illustrator. Knowledge of Figma and Adobe After Effects helpful. Familiarity working in a CMS Experience with creating gifs and motion graphics a plus, along with illustration skills and video experience. You possess a keen eye for typography and have experience designing for web and mobile. You have a sophisticated visual sense and the ability to keep the visual identity of the brand consistent. You are both a self-starter and a team player who can keep up in a fast-paced environment. Strong interest in design, photography, fashion, entertainment, journalism, culture, and current industry technology. Compensation:

The base salary for this role is between

$67,000 - $70,000 . The actual base pay offered is dependent upon many factors, such as: transferable skills, work experience, business needs and market demands. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.

Location:

This role is currently based in the NYC office at least 3 days a week. No remote option.
