Emergency Department Technician

Provide support treatment, care and evaluation of patients on scene and during transport. Arrive to the scene of an emergency, determine the situation, and develop a plan of action. Use appropriate medical equipment and comprehend the severity of the injury. Monitor patient condition and perform data collection. Communicate findings and patient condition to primary Registered Nurse (RN). Assist with the mobilization, ambulation and transport of patients. Requirements
Licensure / Certification / Registration: BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date OR job transfer date required. American Heart Association OR American Red Cross accepted. Emergency Medical Tech credentialed from the Kansas Board of Emergency Medical Services (KSBEMS) required. Advanced Life Support preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted. Drivers License credentialed from the Kansas Department of Motor Vehicles preferred. Education: High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
