Job Overview As a Field Merchandiser, you’ll work independently to showcase your organization and time‑management skills while establishing retailer relationships. You will collaborate with store teams to optimize product placement, maintain inventory levels, and support seasonal resets and installations. Occasionally you may work with other products from partner companies.
Salary and Schedule Details
Hourly pay: $16.00–$18.00 (depending on skills and experience)
Annual pay increases available
Part‑time position with a variable schedule
Average weekly hours: 10–14 hours per week
Availability required during the week before and after major holidays, including weekends
Your Role and Responsibilities
Day‑to‑day engagement: use Hallmark’s mobile device to restock, organize, and monitor inventory; communicate with supervisors, report time, provide feedback, and complete required surveys.
Holiday support: work additional days and extended hours during seasonal peaks (e.g., Valentine’s Day, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas); may work on the actual holiday.
Department resets: assist with installation, relocation of card departments, and fixture layout; notified two weeks in advance; may include evenings or weekends.
Team support: assist other merchandisers within the field network as needed.
Physical Requirements Requires consistent lifting, pushing, and pulling of items up to 30 lbs (up to 50 lbs occasionally). Must kneel, squat, walk, stand, and potentially climb stairs or step ladders. Work performed on the sales floor and in back stockrooms.
Basic Qualifications
At least 18 years old
Read, write, and understand English
Can pull, lift, and carry items up to 30 lbs frequently and 50 lbs occasionally
Operate a digital handheld device
Have Wi‑Fi and internet access
Reliable transportation to travel to assigned stores
