The Greenbrier Hotel Group dba The Greenbrier Hotel, located in White Sulphur Springs, West Virginia, seeks eight (8) full-time Seasonal Servers.
Job Overview Seasonal Servers will ensure all guests receive a Five Star/Five Diamond experience and will embody and maintain the Brand DNA in all aspects of the resort experience.
Responsibilities
Proactively approach and acknowledge all guests in a friendly, warm, and welcoming manner.
Escort guests and offer chair and napkin assistance upon arrival and seating.
Execute all service steps throughout the dining experience.
Present menu and beverage options and provide full knowledge of offerings and preparation methods.
Enter orders in the Point‑of‑Sale system, serve beverages with full club service, deliver bread and butter, polish and place appropriate silverware and glassware, fire appropriate courses, and articulate all courses.
Clear courses, validate guest satisfaction, take dessert orders, and prepare and serve coffee, tea, espresso, cappuccino, and latte beverages.
Present checks, process payments, and provide a genuine farewell and invitation to return.
Complete assigned side work per standard operating procedures and assist the dining team with all aspects of the service script.
Maintain a high level of professionalism when interacting with callers and guests, keep a clean and organized side station, and use materials and time efficiently.
Perform a variety of tasks and assist other team members as needed due to fluctuating demands.
Qualifications
Six (6) months of experience in a hotel, resort, restaurant, or private club is preferred.
Familiar with applicable ABC laws and participates in all required meetings including pre‑shift and training sessions.
Schedule Minimum 35 hours per week guaranteed. Work may include evenings, weekends, varied shifts. A single workweek is used for wage calculation; paid bi‑weekly.
Wages and Benefits Base wage no less than the prevailing wage of $16.54 per hour; overtime at $24.81 per hour. This is a tipped position: minimum cash wage $6.67 per hour plus tips. Tip earnings shortfall covered by employer. Employees retain all tips except for tip pool contributions.
Transportation and subsistence provided for workers completing 50% of the contract period. Reimbursement applies for inbound travel during the first workweek and outbound travel during the final week. Subistence is $16.28 per day up to $68.00. Tools, supplies, and equipment are provided at no cost.
H‑2B workers reimbursed during the first workweek for visa, processing, border crossing, and other government‑mandated fees (passport fees excluded).
