About the role The Financial Analyst position is located at the Boston office of this healthcare organization. The analyst supports finance and reports to the CFO. The analyst is responsible for analyzing complex data sets and presenting findings. Experience with Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI (any BI tool with strong data visualization) and SalesForce is required. The analyst will work on monthly accounting closings, financial reporting, forecasting in Excel, and preparation of PowerPoint decks. Strong Excel skills, use of BI tools with data visualization, and knowledge of the accounting close cycle are key to the role.
Responsibilities
Forecast development, financial reporting, and special projects.
Support monthly accounting closing and reporting cycle (Excel graphing/charting and PowerPoint deck preparation).
Maintain organizational dashboards and provide analysis regarding metrics and trends.
Utilize strong PowerPoint skills to communicate high-level analysis in easy-to-understand formatting.
Qualifications
Minimum of a bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or related field.
3-5 years of experience in a financial analysis role – healthcare industry experience preferred.
Experience with monthly accounting cycle – closing and reporting.
Strong Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI (any BI tool with strong data visualization).
Physical and Environmental Demands
Works in the Boston office in a clean, well-lit environment with fluctuating temperatures near others.
Requires substantial periods of repetitive work utilizing a computer, monitor, keyboard, and mouse.
Requires lifting and carrying equipment and supplies weighing up to 35 pounds; pushing and pulling equipment and supplies weighing up to 35 pounds; walking and standing; frequent sitting more than 75% of the workday; ability to negotiate stairs; visual acuity and manual dexterity to operate equipment.
