Singleton Schreiber, LLP (SSLLP) seeks a motivated attorney to join our award-winning Motions Writs Appeals team (MWA), who will play a pivotal role in advocating for our clients' rights and delivering outstanding legal services.

SSLLP is a high-caliber Plaintiffs' firm dedicated to bringing justice to victims of corporate and governmental misconduct in a wide range of areas, including personal injury, consumer, environmental, civil rights, and mass torts.

MWA handles important briefing at all levels of the firm's cases. MWA also takes on high-profile appeals from outside firms who need expert help getting their cases to trial or defending their verdicts. MWA includes nationally recognized, top-notch attorneys with considerable appellate experience. We seek a highly motivated individual with a strong work ethic, passion for justice, and superb legal research and writing skills to join our team.

This position will be based in San Diego, although remote work is permitted.

Salaries will be commensurate with experience and competitive with other high-level plaintiffs'-side firms.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Draft and prepare complex motions and appellate briefs.

Work closely with the rest of the MWA team on developing legal strategies in cutting-edge cases

Perform detailed and complex legal research.

Make court appearances as necessary.

Participate in case strategy discussions and contribute innovative ideas.

Collaborate with partners and senior attorneys on cases.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

Juris Doctor degree from an ABA accredited law school

Active license to practice law in California and/or Hawaii.

Appellate clerkship or 3+ years of experience in appeals or litigation involving complex issues and motion practice.

Ability to draft complex appellate briefs and motions.

Detail oriented and organized, team player, reliable, and capable of multitasking and managing several time-critical projects under tight deadlines.

This position requires excellent written and oral communication skills.
