Preferred Qualifications
Advanced degree (foreign equivalent or higher) in business, technology, or finance.
Expertise in PeopleSoft Campus Solutions, especially financial aid modules.
SQL and PS Query proficiency for data analysis.
Experience with external system integrations or third‑party application interfaces.
Ability to translate user needs into functional system designs.
Experience working in higher education financial aid operations.
Brief Description of Duties The Business Systems Analyst serves as a key liaison between functional and technical teams, driving strategic system improvements, compliance, and operational efficiency within financial aid technology. This role integrates business process analysis, systems development, and regulatory compliance to ensure seamless financial aid administration. The analyst provides technical expertise, workflow optimization, and cross‑functional collaboration to enhance financial aid system performance and user experience.
Duties System Support & Optimization
Provide daily system support for financial aid operations, troubleshooting production issues.
Ensure efficient utilization of PeopleSoft Campus Solutions and other financial aid systems.
Maintain system security, configurations, and access controls.
Implement data integrity protocols and quality assurance standards.
Business Process Analysis & Strategic Improvement
Conduct gap analysis to identify inefficiencies and optimize financial aid processes.
Design and document functional workflows, re‑engineering business processes based on evolving regulations.
Facilitate process improvement initiatives aligned with institutional goals.
Translate end‑user needs into actionable system enhancements and automation strategies.
System Integration & Compliance Management
Oversee data exchanges with internal and external partners, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations.
Facilitate and maintain data security integration.
Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement
Act as liaison between business units and IT, translating technical concepts into functional solutions.
Support system‑related projects, upgrades, and implementations, including testing and validation phases.
Facilitate training and knowledge‑sharing for staff across departments.
Reporting & Data Analysis
Generate and maintain financial aid reports, tracking system performance and compliance.
Collaborate with finance and enrollment teams on data analytics to drive strategic decision‑making.
Other duties or projects as assigned as appropriate to rank and departmental mission.
Special Notes This is a full‑time appointment. FLSA Exempt position, not eligible for overtime provisions of the FLSA. Minimum salary threshold must be met to maintain FLSA exemption. In addition to the employee's base salary, this position is eligible for $3,400 UUP annual location pay, paid biweekly. We are unable to sponsor candidates for work visas.
