Apply a broad understanding of the principles of computer and information science to the advancement of life sciences research, health professions education, public health, and care such as informatics, clinical informatics, or public health informatics. Apply advanced skills or extensive technical expertise and full industry knowledge. Develop innovative solutions to complex problems. Work without considerable direction. Mentor and may supervise team members. Basic Qualifications

Experience working with standards bodies or standards such as SNOMED, CDISC, HL7, or ASCO Knowledge of semantic engineering methodologies and standards-based health terminology Ability to create strategic technology plans to achieve performance-based objectives, enhancing implementation, systems, and service Master's degree in Health Informatics, Clinical Informatics, Bioinformatics, Health Data Science, or Healthcare Information Systems Additional Qualifications

Experience with Veterans Health Administration health record data Experience developing ontological harmonization models Knowledge of major Electronic Health Record solutions Ability to apply statistical analysis methods and advanced analytical research techniques to assess informatics applications performance American Medical Informatics Association (AMIA) Health Informatics Certification (AHIC) Compensation

Salary is determined by various factors, including location, education, skills, and experience. The projected compensation range for this position is $86,800.00 to $198,000.00 (annualized USD).
