The Junior Graphic Designer will report to the Senior Program Manager and Senior Graphic Designer in the Breast Oncology Center and will be responsible for supporting the department’s medical oncology faculty and fellows in their academic and scientific work. The Junior Graphic Designer will help develop social media and video content – with animations and infographics, as well as designing for a full range of projects including patient and provider communication materials, marketing content, conference presentations, trial recruitment materials, and other print and digital assets. The goal for this position is to support BOC faculty in creating visual content of the highest quality, reflective of the center’s prominent international position in the field of breast cancer research and clinical care.
This position’s work location is hybrid with two or three days per week remote. The selected candidate may only work remote days from a New England state (ME, VT, NH, MA, CT, RI).

MINIMUM JOB QUALIFICATIONS BFA, or BA required, with a focus on graphic design preferred. 1-3 years of experience are required.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Brochures, postcards, handouts and other print collateral
Digital signage and other visual ads
Digital illustrations and infographics
Email and e-newsletter design
Digital graphics and infographics
Dynamic PowerPoint presentations
Web pages, sections and landing pages
Dynamic, social media friendly content such as animations and short-form video
Posters, slides and advertising materials for scientific conferences
Graphic design for plain language research summaries and clinical trial recruitment materials
Graphic designs for patient and provider forum discussions
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED
Demonstrated excellent understanding and application of design principles
Strong typography skills
Adept in key Adobe Creative Suite products including InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects
Fluency in Mac-based systems
High fluency in digital design, including web page and e-newsletter design
Solid pre-press knowledge
HTML/CSS understanding
Knowledge of web-authoring software helpful, but not mandatory, (i.e. Dreamweaver, Flash, Fireworks, HTML)
Knowledge of photography helpful, but not mandatory
Knowledge of video production and editing tools (Adobe Premier or Final Cut Pro is helpful but not mandatory).
Excellent communication, presentation, project management, leadership and interpersonal skills.
