The Opportunity: Building the Foundation of Texas Infrastructure Are you a detail-oriented estimator who knows that a successful project starts with a perfect takeoff? We are a well-established civil construction contractor specializing in large-scale site development, earthwork, and underground utilities. Known for our high-quality workmanship and honest client partnerships, we are expanding our team to meet the demands of a growing Texas market.

We are seeking an experienced

Civil Construction Estimator

who can navigate complex civil plans with precision. This is a high-impact role where your expertise in earthwork and utilities will directly influence our project pipeline and bottom-line success.

What You’ll Do: Precision Pre-Construction In this role, you will be responsible for the full lifecycle of the bidding process for both public and private sector projects: Plan Interpretation:

Review and analyze civil construction drawings and technical specifications to determine project requirements. Comprehensive Takeoffs:

Prepare detailed quantity takeoffs for earthwork, underground utilities, grading, and concrete scopes. Bid Development:

Create accurate cost estimates, budgets, and formal bid proposals that reflect current market conditions. Vendor Management:

Solicit, evaluate, and negotiate pricing from subcontractors and suppliers to ensure competitive and complete bids. Strategic Analysis:

Identify potential project risks, constructability challenges, and value engineering opportunities to provide our clients with the best possible solutions. Project Handoff:

Maintain meticulous documentation and collaborate with Project Managers and Engineers to ensure a seamless transition from the bid phase to the field.

What You Bring to the Team Experience:

3–5+ years in civil construction estimating, with a deep understanding of site development and underground infrastructure. Software Mastery:

Proficiency with

Sage 100 Contractor

and

WinEx Master

is highly preferred. Technical Literacy:

Ability to read and interpret engineering plans and technical specs with an eagle eye for detail. Analytical Mindset:

Strong math skills and the ability to think critically about how a project will be built in the dirt, not just on paper. Communication Skills:

Professional verbal and written communication skills to effectively interface with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams. Education:

A degree in Construction Management or Civil Engineering is a plus, but proven field and estimating experience is highly valued.
