JOB DESCRIPTION: ESTIMATING COORDINATOR SUMMARY:

The Estimating Coordinator is responsible for the production and gathering of project construction documents related information and track, file and distribute the information to all related parties. This position will be accountable for maintaining all construction information up‐to‐date, consistent, and organized in an orderly fashion for all others in the project team. Responsible for fostering a positive atmosphere, promoting proactive and effective communication, facilitating problem solving and for minimizing and resolving conflicts.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Support estimators in the bidding process to include, but not limited to, reviewing of quotes, ordering plans, and specifications and coordinating with all support teams Coordinate incoming bid requests and proposals; receive all project documents and upload accordingly; order/request hard/digital copies of documents Add new projects to estimating bid software; select subcontractor data base for submission to invite to bid Track and dispense related information to various team members and estimating operations Review and draft all contract bid documents to ensure accurate and timely submission of bids Coordinate meetings as needed Request appropriate Bond Document Requirements Secure the bid submission Coordinate the bid process for all projects, including: creating qualified bidders list; distribute all project documents and bid invitations; maintain active contact with bidders to ensure participation; collect and log bids; file all bids in sub book binder for estimators Maintain bid master sub-contractor database with updates Build relationships with subcontractors to obtain comfort level in initiating contact

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited four-year college or university in Construction Management, Business Administration or equivalent, is preferred.

OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Ability to navigate various estimating, scheduling, and database platforms (BuildingConnected, a plus) as well as the Microsoft Office Suite Ability to work independently and prioritize responsibilities Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly both orally and in writing Knowledge of construction process and the relationship to owner’s, subcontractors, suppliers, etc. LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Bilingual in Spanish and English is not a requirement, but is preferred. xsgimln

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:

ASPE certification a plus, but not required.
