NP, Nurse Practitioner/PA, Physician Assistant - General Surgery

Description Job Summary We are seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our General Surgery team in Texarkana, TX . This position is inpatient-focused and centers on hospital rounding and medical management of surgical patients. There are no procedural responsibilities , making this an excellent opportunity for an APP who enjoys inpatient care and continuity of patient management. The schedule is flexible and designed to support work-life balance. Key Responsibilities Perform daily inpatient rounding on general surgery patients Manage post-operative care, monitor patient progress, and address medical issues Coordinate care with surgeons, nursing staff, and ancillary services Order, review, and interpret labs, imaging, and diagnostic studies Participate in discharge planning and patient/family education Document care accurately and timely in the EMR Qualifications Current Texas license as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant National certification (AANP, ANCC, or NCCPA) Acute care or inpatient experience preferred Strong clinical assessment and communication skills Ability to work independently in a hospital-based setting Schedule & Compensation Inpatient-only position with a flexible schedule Must be available for days & nights Competitive compensation based on experience Comprehensive benefits including health, dental, and vision insurance, malpractice coverage, PTO, CME allowance, and a 403(b) retirement plan with employer match6b250ea6-cee3-481d-915c-f7283f1b2f1b
