HR Business Partner
We are seeking a Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) Contractor to proactively engage with people leaders and cross-functional teams to create a culture of autonomy, responsibility, and curiosity at our Raritan, NJ site. In addition to helping develop and implement HR strategies, drive employee engagement, and contribute to a positive culture, this role will play a key part in coordinating activities related to the Raritan manufacturing transfer and site closure planned for 2027. The HRBP will support local leaders and teams in navigating organizational change, ensuring clear communication, thoughtful planning, and a smooth transition through decommissioning. This position will be located onsite in a hybrid schedule (minimum of 3 days/week onsite) at our Raritan, NJ manufacturing site.
The Responsibilities:
- Assist in the development and implementation of HR strategies and programs for the site that enhance employee engagement, performance, and organizational effectiveness.
- Support coordination of activities related to the planned Raritan site closure, partnering with local leaders to navigate organizational change, ensure consistent communication, and help employees through the transition.
- Provide guidance to employees and managers on employee relations matters, ensuring adherence to internal processes and influencing sound decision-making.
- Support talent planning by assisting with recruitment, onboarding, succession planning, employee engagement, and development initiatives.
- Collect and analyze employee data to identify trends and recommend actions that drive improvements in engagement, performance, and retention
- Contribute to the design and implementation of organizational structures and workforce plans aligned with business strategies
- Champion The Client's Way and Core Behaviors, reinforcing a culture of autonomy, responsibility, and curiosity. Support thoughtful change management and initiatives that promote an inclusive environment where employees can bring their authentic selves to work.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal employment laws and regulations; support consistent application of HR policies and practices.
- Participate in and support HR projects as needed.
- Apply knowledge in multiple HR disciplines (e.g., Talent Management, Total Rewards, Talent Acquisition, Employee Relations, Compensation) while continuing to build expertise across others.
- Execute cyclical HR activities, including performance reviews, compensation cycles, talent reviews, and employee relations processes, and provide effective consultation to leaders.
- In partnership with HR leadership, guide and coach managers on managing and resolving complex people matters, including performance management and total rewards considerations.
- Leverage best practices and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Perform other work-related duties as assigned.
Required:
- Bachelor's Degree required. Advanced degree, MBA or certification a plus (SHRM)
- Minimum of five (5) years progressive experience in Human Resources, at least one (2) year as HRBP.
- Must be proficient at managing multiple priorities and accomplishing simultaneous demands in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment while maintaining confidentiality of sensitive information.
- Must excel at analyzing problems, issues and data to provide innovative human resource solutions.
- Must be effective at promoting collaborative cross-functional working relationships, deliver effective communication, and able to communicate information in a clear, concise and tactful manner.
- Engages in problem solving with little direct supervision.
- Developing financial and business acumen, project management and broad HR experience
- Must be a thoughtful, agile, proactive decision-maker and able to lead with curiosity, candor, and care.
- Demonstrable track record of consulting with leadership within an organization to contribute to building long-range HR strategies.
- Must be proficient in local, state, and federal employment laws.
- Proven cultural change agent, with ability to challenge the status quo and develop creative solutions to global business challenges.
- Track record of high integrity and credibility.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, HRIS (WorkDay) and other HR software systems and achieve results through others. Workday experience preferred.
- Must have strong quantitative and qualitative data analysis, interpretation skills and ability to generate insights to influence action and drive results.
