At Dollywood Parks & Resorts, we are seeking a Team Member who will embody our mission of Creating Memories Worth Repeating while Bringing Families Closer Together. We do this every day across all properties, all located in the Great Smoky Mountains of East Tennessee.
The House & Grounds Team Member provides guest excellence by maintaining an appealing and clean environment. This is to be done in a manner consistent with the mission, values, and operating philosophies of The Dollywood Company.
Additionally, the ideal candidate will be able display and live out Lead with Love qualities, strongly rooted in the Dollywood Company culture, by being patient, kind, trusting, unselfish, truthful, forgiving, dedicated and accountable.
Summary of Essential Functions & Responsibilities
14 & 15 Year Olds
Maintain an aesthetically pleasing, sanitary environment by sweeping, picking up trash in assigned areas, cleaning up spills as necessary both indoors and outdoors on the park, including on roadways, pedestrian walkways, landscaped and natural settings to include H&G storage areas
Clean host lounges and public restrooms
Maintain a high level of attention to detail in your assigned restroom(s)/area per your trained procedures as defined in your Training Plan
Restock and keep track of supplies such as toilet paper, paper towels, soap, cleaning materials, etc. in your assigned area(s)
Empty trash cans located in your assigned area(s), including but not limited to, other areas, assigned or unassigned, in need of additional assistance and/or immediate attention
Keep clean all rolling carts and trash cans including lids and can liners as well as the inside and outside of trash cans
Initiate friendly interaction with the guests
Always maintain confidentiality
Take pride in the cleanliness of our park and identify cleanliness needs proactively and independently
Follow All Host Safety Standards and General Safety Training guidelines and use associated injury prevention measures
Suspend operations when continuation would be inconsistent with Safety Standards or Procedures or presents a safety hazard to Guests or Hosts

Answer calls for bodily fluid clean ups and/or other spills with the correct chemicals (including category 1)
Clean host lounges and public restrooms, including cleaning restroom prior to daily park operations
Able to correctly use aerosol chemicals (18+)
Management reserves the right to change and/or add to these duties at any time
Education and Experience Required
Must be at least 14 years old
Employees may be required to be 18 years of age to operate some equipment
Work experience that demonstrates successful execution of similar duties and responsibilities in a commercial/industrial environment preferred
Must be able to successfully complete a post-employment offer background check

Able to make a friendly impression when speaking to or corresponding with guests, vendors, and other employees

Physical and Cognitive Requirements

Position may require occasional to frequent lifting of up to 50 lbs utilizing company’s safety guidelines for safe lifting
Mobility:
Position may require intermittent to prolonged sitting, standing and/or walking for duration of shift, up to 13 hours. Employees may also be required to travel to various areas on property which may include changes in terrain, stairs and uneven surfaces
Repetitive Movements:
This position may require performing repetitive movements and tasks throughout the shift, including repeated use of hands, arms or other body parts as part of typical job functions
Environmental Conditions:
This position requires the ability to perform work tasks in varying weather conditions to include extreme cold and heat. Employees may be required to work indoors and outdoors
