June 30, 2024 Area of Responsibility: Working under the direction of the principal or assigned evaluator, the classroom teacher administers the classroom in accordance with School Board policies and uses instructional and administrative skills to promote the educational development of each student.^(1) Responsibilities include instruction, supervision, classroom management, student assessment and evaluation, communication and collaboration, and extracurricular involvement. Teachers are held accountable for meeting the TAP Teaching Skills, Knowledge, and Responsibilities Performance Standards, which are research‑based standards organized into four domains: Instruction, Planning, Environment, and Professionalism. Domains and Indicators

Domain 1: Instruction (12 indicators)

Planning effective lessons aligned to theabels and objectives, clearly defined learning outcomes, and ensuring both students and teachers understand the lesson goals. Motivating Students:

Organizing and presenting content that motivates learners, with in-depth knowledge of student interests. Presenting Instructional Content:

Using visuals, examples, and logical sequencing to deliver content efficiently. Lesson Structure and Pacing:

Administer classroom per Caddo Parish policies: lesson planning, grading, reporting, and school improvement. Accept responsibilities for administrative, curricular, and extracurricular tasks, including supervision during activities and institutional events. Collaborate with staff, parents, students, and stakeholders. Maintain attendance, report promptly, and dress appropriately per Board and state law. Attend required meetings: departmental, professional development, IEP, PT conferences, and also Project Read and ACT 260 training. Maintain professional conduct, exemplary appearance, and ethical practices. Accept additional duties assigned by the principal or evaluator. Professional Conduct

Citizenship:

United States citizen or authorized alien per Louisiana Bulletin 746. (Louisiana Standards of State Certification of School Personnel) Personal Characteristics

Physical and mental stamina, health to report consistently, and ability to plan and organize. Terms of Employment
