The Airport Shuttle Driver is responsible for the safe, courteous, and timely transportation of passengers between airport terminals, and other designated locations within or near the airport premises. This role plays a key part in ensuring a positive travel experience by providing reliable and professional shuttle service in a high‑traffic, time‑sensitive environment.
Pay:
Starting Pay:
$25.00 per hour
Post-Training Pay:
$27.00 per hour (Effective upon successful completion of training and qualification requirements. Training typically lasts 4 to 5 weeks.)

Key Responsibilities:
Transport, load, and unload passengers at designated pick‑up and drop‑off locations within the airport and surrounding areas.
Ensure the safe loading and unloading of all passengers, including those with special needs, using specialized equipment such as wheelchair lifts and tie‑downs.
Operate shuttle vehicles safely and efficiently, adhering to all traffic laws, airport regulations, and company policies.
Conduct pre‑trip and post‑trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in safe operating condition and compliant with Department of Transportation (DOT) standards.
Inspect vehicles regularly for any unsafe conditions or maintenance issues; report concerns promptly and perform routine cleaning and basic maintenance.
Document any preexisting vehicle damage using electronic devices or manual inspection forms.
Maintain a clean and sanitary shuttle environment, including disinfecting the vehicle after each use.
Refuel shuttle vehicles as needed and maintain accurate fuel usage logs.
Provide excellent customer service by responding to guest inquiries in a courteous and professional manner.
Maintain and enforce the shuttle evacuation plan and coordinate evacuation procedures when necessary.
Immediately report any incidents, accidents, or passenger claims to the Operations Manager or Supervisor.
Communicate effectively with dispatchers, airport personnel, and team members to coordinate service and respond to schedule changes or emergencies.
Basic Qualifications:
Must be
21 years of age or older
1+ year of recent experience
driving shuttle buses
No high school diploma, GED, or college degree required
Must possess a
valid DOT Medical Certificate
(unexpired within the next 90 days)
Must hold a
CDL-B with Passenger and Air Brake Endorsements
Resume must reflect
1+ year of recent bus driving experience
Preferred Qualifications:
One (1) year of prior work experience as a
passenger shuttle bus driver
Experience in
public transportation
Must be comfortable driving on
LAX AOA/airfield
