We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic
Practice Education Trainer (Band 4)
to join our Clinical Education Team. This is an exciting opportunity to support the development, recruitment, onboarding, and retention of our non-registered workforce, including Healthcare Support Workers, Assistant Practitioners, apprentices, and Further Education learners.
What you'll be doing
Supporting the delivery of education and training programmes for Band 2-4 clinical staff
Delivering clinical skills training and supporting completion of the Care Certificate and Trust competencies
Providing 1:1 practice-based support and role modelling best practice in clinical areas
Supporting FE students and apprentices on placement within the Trust
Working collaboratively with ward teams, Practice Educators, and the wider Clinical Education Team
Maintaining accurate records and contributing to evaluation and quality improvement of education programmes
Main duties of the job
To support the development and delivery of relevant training programmes within the clinical education team.
To provide education and practice support to apprentices in practice (i.e. Trainee Nursing Associates, Assistant Practitioners and Healthcare Support worker apprentices)
To support the Clinical Education team to deliver identified education programmes
To provide support to Further Education students on placement with the Trust
To facilitate non-registrants to achieve their National Care Certificate and relevant Trust competencies
To support the Clinical Education to deliver identified clinical skills training

Person Specification Qualifications
GCSE Maths & English grade C or equivalent
Completed Care certificate or equivalent qualification
Relevant teaching qualification eg. PETLS
NVQ level 2/3 or equivalent
Mental Health First Aider
Experience
Proven recent experience in a healthcare setting
Evidence of delivering appropriate standard of patient care and improving the patient experienceExperience assessing staff in the Care Certificate
Experience of delivering training
Experience within a range of healthcare settings
Knowledge and Skills
Excellent communication skills both verbally and written
Good interpersonal skills
Understanding of the role of post-registration team within the trust.
