Job Summary:

The Head Women's Volleyball Coach directs, coordinates, and supervises while ensuring the eligibility and academic success of student‑athletes. Integrates the sports program into the overall mission of the University.

Employment in this position is contingent upon compliance with the rules and regulations of the university, the NCAA, and conference affiliation.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Read NCAA Rules Manual, NCAA News, Conference Manual, University Catalog, inter/intra‑department memos, and communications from prospects, peers, and alumni.

Compose department memos, team schedules, and player evaluations.

Correspond with Athletic Director, staff, and prospects to support the program.

Develop and maintain contacts with University staff, faculty, students, alumni, vendors, civic organizations, and other universities.

Handle or respond to budget requests, transfers, and purchases.

Supervise assistants.

Assign and instruct employees on duties and responsibilities.

Conduct daily staff meetings.

Demonstrate physical acts to teach them to student athletes.

Refer to NCAA Manual and Sports Rule Book.

Ensure assistants demonstrate proficiency to properly train student athletes.

Travel for recruiting, contests, and speaking engagements.

Perform related duties as required.

Required Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree.

At least four (4) years’ experience in a similar position at this or other universities.

Physical qualifications: possess strength and agility to demonstrate plays, strategy, and athletic techniques to team members.
