We are seeking friendly, flexible, and service-oriented individuals to join our Public Services team as Public Services Assistant. This position performs a variety of tasks related to library operations designed to assist patrons in locating and making use of library materials and resources. This is an
as needed, on-call
position with daytime, evening, and weekend hours, not to exceed an average of 19 hours per week. The library is open seven days a week, Monday – Thursday, 9 – 9pm, Friday & Saturday, 9 – 5pm and Sunday 1 – 5pm. Substitutes must be available at least six of the seven days a week and for most shifts. This on-call role supports patrons of all ages across Adult, Teen, Children’s, and Circulation services. QUALIFICATIONS High school diploma Strong communication and interpersonal skills Flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends Ability to work independently and as part of a team Willingness to learn new technology (3D printer, laminator, digital cutter, etc.) How to Apply
