AWI Management Corp. is seeking an experienced individual to help maintain an 80-unit apartment community in Visalia, CA. Experience in general building maintenance and landscape is preferred.
The position is full-time at 40 hours a week.
Pay range is $25.00 - $28.00/hour DOE.
Housing is not available for this position.
Requirements
Reliable Transportation
Authorized to work in the United States
Access to a personal smartphone with email, messaging and app functionality. Usage will be reimbursed.
This position requires the ability to operate a motor vehicle as an essential function of the job. A valid driver's license is required. Employees who use a personal vehicle for work-related travel are reimbursed in accordance with Company policy. Reasonable accommodations will be considered in accordance with applicable law.
Qualifications / Skills
Good communication skills
Computer literate (Word, Excel, MS Outlook)
Ability to positively interact with the general public, tenants, vendors, and corporate staff
Strong organizational skillsAbility to follow written and verbal instructions
Ability to manage priorities and meet deadlines
Experience with subsidized housing (HUD, Tax Credit, or RD) helpful
General building maintenance skills (painting, cleaning, plumbing, electrical, carpentry)
General grounds keeping skills
Ability to manage emergency situations
Professionalism
Listening
Responsibilities
Maintain good public relations with residents and vendors
Assist with annual apartment inspections and identifying action items
Report violations of lease and house rules
Timely completion of maintenance request, work orders and ensure tenant's maintenance needs are being met
Work with manager to schedule vendors and order necessary supplies
Perform preventative maintenance duties
Maintaining excellent curb appeal
Follow policies and procedures
