The Roman Catholic Diocese of Cleveland was founded on April 23, 1847. Under the leadership of the Most Reverend Edward C. Malesic, Bishop of Cleveland, it is the 23rd largest diocese in the United States and encompasses the counties of Cuyahoga, Summit, Lorain, Lake, Geauga, Medina, Wayne, and Ashland. There are approximately 700,000 Catholics in the Diocese, and Catholic Charities-Diocese of Cleveland is one of the largest diocesan systems of social services in the world. There are 185 parishes, 110 Catholic schools, 1 pastoral center, and 1 mission office within the Diocese.

Located in the middle of Cuyahoga County, Cleveland Central Catholic is a co-educational, comprehensive school for students in grades 9 through 12. With an enrollment of about 543 students, CCC is large enough to provide ample opportunities for student activities while also being small enough for each student to be known by name. The school offers a wide variety of activities that provide our students with safe and fun ways to develop skills and make friends for life.
Cleveland Central Catholic was formed by the merger of four Roman Catholic Cleveland high schools - St. John Cantius, Lourdes Central, St. Michael the Archangel, and St. Stanislaus. CCC’s first year of operation was the 1969-70 scholastic year. The consolidation of the Scranton Campus (St. Michael’s) and the Forman Campus (St. Stanislaus) took place in 2003, completing the transition into a one-campus school with all activities on the St. Stanislaus block in Slavic Village.
Position Summary The Administrative Assistant to the President provides high-level administrative, organizational, and communication support to the President of Cleveland Central Catholic High School while also assisting the Advancement Office in advancing the mission, growth, and sustainability of the school. This role requires professionalism, discretion, strong interpersonal skills, and a commitment to the Catholic identity and values of CCC.
Key Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive administrative support to the President, including calendar management, meeting coordination, travel arrangements, and correspondence
Serve as a primary point of contact for internal and external constituents on behalf of the President
Prepare agendas, reports, presentations, and briefing materials for meetings, board engagements, and special events
Attend meetings as requested and prepare accurate minutes and follow-up documentation
Handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion and professionalism
Assist with the coordination of Advisory Board of Directors and committee meetings, including scheduling, materials distribution, and record-keeping
Advancement Office Support
Provide administrative support to the Advancement Office, including donor correspondence, acknowledgments, and database support
Assist with planning, coordination, and execution of advancement events (e.g., fundraisers, alumni gatherings, donor events)
Support gift processing, donor stewardship efforts, and maintenance of advancement records
Assist with the preparation of advancement materials, mailings, reports, and communications
Coordinate logistics related to advancement initiatives in collaboration with the President and the advancement staff
School Support
Collaborate with the finance and admission offices to collect student data
Maintain annual accreditation information files (this includes background checks, Virtus records, licensure information)
Qualifications
Associate’s degree or equivalent professional experience
Minimum of 3–5 years of administrative or coordinator support experience in a school setting
Strong organizational, time management, and communication skills
High level of discretion and ability to handle confidential matters
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
Commitment to the mission, values, and Catholic identity of Cleveland Central Catholic High School
