The Sales Porter: We are looking for
self-motivated
and
reliable individuals
for our Sales Porter position at our Volvo dealership in Grapevine, Texas. The Sales Porter focuses on efficient management of the dealership's vehicle inventory and lot operations. This role involves assisting customers, ensuring high quality vehicle management, maintaining vehicle appearance, and diligent lot maintenance, while adhering to the dealership policies and safety guidelines. These individuals will be efficient, have a strong work ethic, and possess a willingness to learn about the automotive world.

Key Responsibilities:
Vehicle Management
Move vehicles to and from various locations, including the service department, showroom, and lot.
Park and organize vehicles on the lot according to dealership standards.
Ensure vehicles are clean, polished, and well-presented for customer viewing and test drives.
Customer Service
Greet and assist customers as they arrive, offering guidance and support as needed.
Prepare vehicles for test drives, ensuring they are clean, fueled, and ready for customer use.
Answer basic inquiries about vehicle inventory and dealership services.
Lot Maintenance
Regularly inspect and maintain the lot to ensure it is free of hazards and debris.
Keep track of vehicle inventory and notify the sales team of any issues or discrepancies.
Perform routine checks on vehicle condition and report any maintenance needs to the appropriate department.
Administrative Support
Manage vehicle keys, ensuring they are organized and easily accessible.
Assist with basic administrative tasks, such as filing paperwork or organizing documentation related to vehicle inventory.
Safety and Compliance
Follow all dealership policies and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
Adhere to traffic and safety regulations while moving vehicles on and off the lot.
Qualifications:
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Experience:
Previous experience in an automotive dealership or customer service role is a plus, but not required.
Valid driver's license with a
clean driving record.
Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
Excellent customer service and communication abilities.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Willingness to pass a
background check
and
clear a drug test .
Physical Requirements: Ability to stand, walk, and lift to 40 lbs. as needed; must be comfortable working in various weather conditions.
Working Conditions:
Outdoor work environment, with exposure to varying weather conditions.
May involve weekends or evening shifts based on dealership needs.
