This position has reports to the Executive Director and works closely with the Associate Director of Operations, and the Center’s Administrative Coordinator.**SUPERVISORY AUTHORITY:**N/A**NATURE AND SCOPE:**Internal contacts generally include administrators, faculty, students, and staff. External contacts generally include vendors, consultants, visitors, and the public.**PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:*** Assist the Administrative Coordinator in providing efficient and professional administrative support to the Center’s Executive Director and the Associate Director of Operations, including managing and maintaining multiple complex meeting request schedules.* Open, close, and assist in the running of the Center’s labs inclusive of enforcing established operation policies and procedures, maintaining lab calendars and booking requests.* Assist lab internal and external lab guests with troubleshooting the use of lab software and hardware.* Working closely with the Associate Director of Operations to assist in supporting student services and engagement activities.* Assist the Director of Operations and Program Coordinators with the organization and management of events such as orientation, year-end celebrations, and summer programs.* Perform other job-related duties as assigned.**CORE COMPETENCIES:*** Ability to prioritize work, anticipate roadblocks and lead in the proactive development of solutions.* Ability to provide administrative support, manage up and anticipate the needs of multiple team members.* Ability to work collaboratively and independently with purpose and accuracy in a fast-paced environment.**MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:*** High School diploma or GED and 5 years of general work experience.* AA/AS may be substituted for 4 years of required work experience.* BA/BS may be substituted for up to 4 years work experience.**SIGNATURES REQUIRED:****Compliance Salary Range Disclosure**$40,000-$50,000Here is what we offer: - ***Health & Wellness:*** Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance, plus mental health support- ***Additional Perks:*** Wellness programs, commuter benefits, and a vibrant company cultureHoward University is a comprehensive, research-oriented, historically Black private university providing an educational experience of exceptional quality to students of high academic potential with particular emphasis upon the provision of educational opportunities to promising Black students.
