Adaptive Personal Trainer
provides one-on-one and small-group fitness instruction tailored to clients, including those with
intellectual and physical disabilities , helping them achieve their fitness goals. This role requires delivering professional, personalized guidance while maintaining exceptional customer service. Trainers work in various settings, such as private homes or offices, typically within a 30-minute travel radius. Design customized adaptive workouts based on clients' unique needs. Modify exercises and utilize creative exercise modalities to best accommodate adaptive clients. Use the GYMGUYZ Fitness App for session tracking (if applicable). Demonstrate exercises and ensure proper form and modifications. Conduct client reassessments and manage scheduling. Maintain flexibility to accommodate client appointments. Travel to client locations. Support marketing and events as needed. Perform other assigned duties. Qualifications
Experience : Proven experience working with individuals with disabilities (e.g., Autism, Down Syndrome, Cerebral Palsy) or in special education settings. Certifications
Nationally recognized personal training certification (e.g., ISSA, NASM, ACE, ACSM). CPR/AED certification (current and valid). Adaptive fitness certification is preferred (e.g., Certify Strong, ATA).
Knowledge : Strong understanding of exercise physiology, anatomy, and nutrition principles. Skills:
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
Licenses:
Valid and clean driver’s license. Company Overview
