Position Summary The Peer Education Coordinator oversees the coordination, delivery, and tracking of Here Tomorrow’s education and training programs. This role ensures consistency, quality, and operational follow-through across CRPS training, continuing education, onboarding, shadowing, and community-based education.

This position serves as the primary point of contact for training systems, scheduling, documentation, and credentialing, and works closely with leadership, preceptors, outreach staff, and facilitators to ensure trainings are delivered, documented, and aligned with organizational standards. The Peer Education Coordinator also facilitates community trainings, including QPR, and may pursue additional facilitator certifications to support prevention efforts.

Key Responsibilities

Program Support and Continuity:

Support the delivery and continuity of all education programs, including CRPS training, continuing education, onboarding, and shadowing. Serve as the central contact for internal education processes and maintain communication with leadership and preceptors regarding progress, expectations, and needs.

Learning Management System Management : Manage all LMS operations, including the People Project curriculum and other housed trainings. Oversee applications, enrollment, progress tracking, submissions, updates, and basic technical functionality to ensure a consistent learning experience.

Training Records, Certificates, and Credentialing:

Track CRPS cohorts and CEU completions, maintain accurate training and attendance records, and ensure all education data remains current and aligned. Issue completion and CEU certificates, support peers with credential maintenance and annual renewals, and assist with required documentation uploads to the Florida Certification Board following completion of supervision.

Continuing Education Coordination and Delivery:

Coordinate, schedule, and deliver continuing education units, supporting implementation of existing content and rollout of additional trainings as needed.

Onboarding and Peer Mentor Program : Oversee onboarding processes, including training delivery, tracking completion of onboarding requirements, monitoring the shadowing process, and supporting readiness for independent peer work.

Qualifications Certification & Lived Experience:

Required:

Florida Certified Recovery Peer Specialist (CRPS) or ability to obtain certification within 12 months of hire.

Required:

Minimum of two (2) years in personal recovery from a mental health and/or substance use condition, and/or lived experience supporting a family member through recovery.

Preferred: Individuals with lived experience in working with crisis and/or suicidal ideations.

Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.

Skills & Abilities:

Strong technology skills with the ability to manage learning management systems and presentation materials

Ability to navigate workflows across multiple platforms and systems

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, particularly with documentation and credentialing

Effective communication and collaboration skills

Ability to troubleshoot basic technical issues and adapt to new systems

Ability to work independently while maintaining accountability and professionalism

Commitment to confidentiality, ethical standards, and trauma-informed peer support

Other Requirements:

Ability to work flexible hours as needed to support trainings and onboarding.

Ability to facilitate trainings for both internal staff and community audiences.

Valid Florida driver’s license and/or reliable transportation may be required for outreach activities.

Spanish fluency is a plus, but not required.

This position is non-exempt and eligible for benefits (health, dental, vision, etc.).

Starting salary depends on certification status, experience, and skills.
