Gas Compression Service Technician

Greeley, Co.: Flexicrew Technical Services (FTS) is seeking a Sr. Field Service Technician (Gas Compression).
Essential Duties:
Assist with preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, diagnosing, repairing, installing, and commissioning both gas‑fired and electric‑driven compressor packages.
Provide leadership and training to junior technicians.
Independently and efficiently diagnose engine and compressor failures.
Plan, direct, coordinate, and perform job activities to meet project goals.
Submit accurate field service reports, expense reports, timesheets, and other paperwork daily.
Lead and complete rebuilds/overhauls of compressors, engines, and controls on gas compressor packages in the field.
Troubleshoot electrical systems, controls, and unit control panels such as Murphy, Altronic, and Allen Bradley.
Perform advanced engine tuning functions to adjust performance and emissions for OEMs (CAT/Waukesha).
Install and commission new units, including start‑up inspections, independently.
Perform mechanical inspections using micrometers, pressure gauges, electronic diagnostic equipment, and specialty tools.
Participate in call‑out rotations and complete emergency repairs as needed.
Recognize and comply with Health, Safety, and Environmental policies at all work locations.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements / Skills:
High school diploma or GED with advanced vocational/technical training.
10+ years of applicable experience.
Valid certifications in the following (or equivalent):
CAT Gas I & II
CAT Electrical
Ariel Basic & Mechanical
CAT 3500 ADEM III / ULB
Waukesha VHP / Waukesha 9390
CAT 3600 ADEM III / Master Mechanic
CAT Failure Analysis
Current OEM model‑specific training required.
Ability to lead, train, and direct other technicians.
Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills (mechanical and electrical).
Capable of completing advanced rebuilds and installations independently.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand, walk, stoop, squat, bend, and kneel for extended periods.
Lift up to 35 lbs regularly and up to 75 lbs occasionally.
Push/pull valves, climb stairs and ladders frequently.
Work in varying environmental conditions including heat, humidity, rain, cold, and muddy terrain.
Must wear PPE including hard hat, safety glasses, ear plugs (for extended periods), and steel‑toe boots daily.
