SUMMARY Effectively manage the learning environment to prepare lesson plans, instruct students, evaluate and monitor students’ performance in order to advance student achievement. Understand and appreciate diversity. Work collaboratively with a team to plan instruction. Demonstrate commitment to continuous learning. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS Arizona Elementary Certificate with Spanish Approved Area Arizona Middle Grades Certificate with Spanish Approved Area Arizona Secondary Certificate with Spanish Approved Area Arizona Subject Matter Expert Certificate 6-12 with Spanish Approved Area Current Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS Demonstrated success in engaging African American and Latino students Bilingual (Spanish) endorsement ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS AFTER HIRE Proof of immunity to rubeola (measles) and rubella (German measles), or proof of MMR immunization. Effective: 2025-2026 SCHOOL YEAR Location: Safford K-8 School - Broadway & 4th Avenue Area FTE: 1.0 – 7.5 hours per day Work Calendar: 9.5 month Positions less than 30 hours per week are not eligible for district benefits. Salary will be prorated if the start date is after the first day of the work calendar for the position. Internal candidates will transfer at a rate commensurate with their bargaining unit language.
