The Weber Road Branch is seeking a full-time Custodian to perform a broad range of cleaning duties to maintain the cleanliness and attractive appearance of the Library building, both interior and exterior.
The mission of the St. Louis County Library is to provide the resources and services to enrich individual minds, enhance lives and expand perspectives. SLCL is an award winning library system with branches throughout St. Louis County. We have transformed into a meaningful community resource with updated facilities and an array of programs and partnerships that serve over 860,000 patrons.
Hours: Monday - Friday: 7:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.
Cleans and dusts tables, counters, other furniture, and shelving units of all types, and removes trash from containers in the public service areas using appropriate cleaning products to provide a clean and sanitary environment.
Maintains floors to provide a clean and safe environment with a neat appearance.
Cleans restrooms to provide a neat and clean appearance and a sanitary environment for customers and staff.
Cleans staff work area and staff break room to provide a clean and neat work environment.
Maintains grounds to provide safe, neat, and tidy outdoor environment.
Performs periodic cleaning projects, including heavy cleaning, and other duties as assigned to make the library an attractive, clean, and safe environment for staff and customers.
Assists in setting up meeting rooms for Library programs and outside meetings.
Job Qualifications:
One year of previous custodial experience
Must possess a commitment to a high level of public service to Library customers and other staff

Ability to use a pc, word processing, and e-mail
