The GLOW YMCA is looking for talented individuals with a passion for the YMCA mission and cause, an understanding of YMCA programs and services, and whose everyday priorities are a reflection of core YMCA values of caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility.
POSITION SUMMARY Seeking certified and experienced Group Exercise Instructors. Applicants with experience in any type of classes or levels are welcome to apply. YMCA Group Exercise Instructors receive a free YMCA membership and competitive wages.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Leads energizing, fun, safe, and educational group classes, as directed by the supervisor, to accomplish the YMCA mission and goals. Ensure participation, retention and enrollment growth.
Answers questions from members to support them in achieving their goals related to healthy living. Maintains working knowledge of wellness and trends to provide effective information and support to members.
Keeps accurate class attendance records.
Follows YMCA policies and procedures; responds to emergency situations.
QUALIFICATIONS
Successfully complete the YMCA New Employee Orientation and Child Abuse Prevention training within 60 days of employment.
Required certifications: CPR with AED within 90 days of employment.
At least one year of experience teaching group wellness classes preferred.
