Practices Monday‑Friday, 2:45 PM – 4:15 PM (season schedule may vary). Salary:
$2,954 – $5,071 stipend (Extracurricular Salary Schedule). Position Type:
Part‑time Responsibilities
Assist the Head Coach in directing and supervising all aspects of tennis, including eligibility, practice, transportation, awards, equipment purchase and maintenance, and field preparation. Promote excellence, good sportsmanship, and adherence to district policies, procedures, WIAA rules, and regulations. Attend meetings as called by the Athletic Director and/or Head Coach. Supervise athletes at all times during practice, games (home and away), travel, and locker room activities. Maintain a positive, productive coaching climate and enforce the extra‑curricular code. Notify the Athletic Director of all injuries and fill out accident reports. Prepare and maintain sporting equipment and the gymnasium. Communicate effectively with the Head Coach and other staff regarding student health, attitude, and learning issues. Perform additional duties as assigned. Qualifications
Age: 19+ (assistant) or 21+ (head) per WIAA rules. Current First Aid/CPR certification or ability to acquire it by season start. Demonstrated leadership and organizational skills. Thorough knowledge and experience in tennis. Preferred: 3+ years of coaching experience; head‑coaching experience desired. Strong interpersonal skills; effective oral and written communication. Must have current first aid card and, ideally, a current CPR card. Knowledge of WIAA rules and District regulations. Current fingerprints on file or willingness to be fingerprinted. High energy, honesty, and trustworthiness. Ability to create an effective educational climate for students. High moral and ethical standards; positive motivational techniques. Terms of Employment
Salary and work year are determined by negotiated agreement and district needs. Verification of identity and U.S. work authorization must be completed before employment commences. Background check (Washington State Patrol & FBI) required for employment. Additional Information
