Under the administrative direction of the Director Radiology Services, and the clinical direction of the Radiologists, is responsible for performing all Computed Tomography procedures. Performs all scheduled and emergency CT procedures as assigned by the CT Supervisor, which include: Instructions to the patient about the procedure. Transferring patient to scan room and positioning patient for procedure.

Assists in surgical biopsy and aspiration procedures.

Selects proper scanning techniques and completes scans.

Reconstructs all images, noting any and all abnormalities, being able to delineate any and all abnormalities, having a broad knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy.

Recognizes system problems and notifies CT Supervisor, Radiation Safety Officer, and Radiologist. Practices safety rules in respect to electrical and radiation hazards. Participates in the formal inservice education programs of the Radiology department and the hospital, as well as attending workshops/seminars, visiting other institutions and becoming familiar with new techniques. Provides training of other technologists learning the CT scanning specialty. Qualifications: Graduate of an approved program in Radiologic Technology.

One-year experience in Computed Tomography preferred.

ARRT registered or registry eligible registry achieved within one year required

ARRT advanced certification in Computed Tomography preferred

Current license with the New Hampshire Board of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy.

CPR certification must be acquired within 3 months of hire date and maintained on an annual basis required Area of Interest:
