About the Position

We are seeking

fun, enthusiastic, and committed Group Leaders

to support our before and after school programs. Group Leaders assist the Site Director with daily program operations, and help plan and deliver engaging activities that align with the YMCA School Age Curriculum.

You’ll have the opportunity to lead activities that spark creativity, encourage teamwork, support learning, and contribute to a safe, welcoming environment for all children.

What You’ll Do

Assist with oversight of daily program activities and communication with families.

Support and deliver age‑appropriate lesson plans.

Establish structure, routines, and behavior expectations for children.

Ensure the safety and well‑being of all participants, including emergency procedures.

Communicate routinely and professionally with parents and families.

Participate in events and family engagement activities throughout the year.

What You Bring

Must be at least

18 years old

with a

High School Diploma or GED .

Ability to obtain a

Child Development Associate (CDA) within 18 months

of employment.

CPR and First Aid certification

(or willingness to obtain).

Documentation of physical exam and TB test.

Ability to pass required background screenings.

Positive, creative attitude and the ability to relate to children, families, and school staff.

Working Conditions

Ability to stand or sit for prolonged periods.

Ability to participate in games and active play.

Must be able to lift up to 35 pounds and maintain constant visual supervision of children.
