$110,000- $120,000 .

The above salary range represents the company’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. About the Role Kwaan Tech is seeking a highly skilled Program Specialist with international politics/foreign policy experience to join a diverse, mission-driven team. The Program Specialist position offers a dynamic opportunity to provide critical analytical and coordination support at the intersection of U.S. foreign policy and humanitarian operations. Working within the Bureau of Near East Affairs (NEA) and South and Central Asian Affairs (SCA) Support Services.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

Draft and update briefing papers, memos, talking points, and updates on issues related to U.S.-Qatar relations for State Department leadership.

Assist the NEA/ARP office at meetings and on phone calls on topics related to U.S.-Qatar relations. Support NEA/ARP policy positions at those meetings.

Draft and circulate meeting summaries.

Coordinate on a daily basis with contacts at U.S. Embassy Doha to share information, provide policy updates, and respond to requests from guidance.

Travel Requirements 0 - 10%

Job Requirements Education and/or Experience

Undergraduate degree in international relations, political science, public policy, Arabic, or a related field and a minimum of 2years’ experiencein international politics/foreign policy, or other related fields.

Two (2) years or more work experienceininternational relations, international politics, international economics, foreign policy, or human rights issues.

Qualifications and Requirements

Experience writing for a professional audience.

Secret Clearance Required

Ability to solve problems.

English language (written and spoken) communications skills.

Ability to manage multiple tasks, act decisively in daily work, and work well in a multi-cultural team environment.

Strong organizational, communication, interpersonal, and computer skills.

Ability to work independently to assess priorities and manage daily coordination of details with minimal supervision.

Ability to work under deadline pressure, handle stress and deliver professional results.

Long hours and weekends may be required to meet deliverables.

Strong written and oral communication skills, organizational skills, and attention to detail.

Self-motivated with minimal oversight.

Computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

Some travel may be required.

Must have authorization to work in the United States as defined by the Immigration Reform Act of 1986.
