WSFSSH MISSION STATEMENT The mission of WSFSSH is to provide safe, affordable, senior housing that integrates compassionate property management with supportive services to enhance the independence and dignity of each resident. WSFSSH creates and preserves affordable housing while supporting the development of healthy neighborhoods.
JOB SUMMARY Reporting to the CFO, the Purchasing Manager will be responsible for managing the purchasing function, ensuring timely procurement and reliable vendor performance.
Please Note:
This is a full-time position required to be on-site four (4) days a week with the option to work one (1) day from home. (35 hours)
JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Develop expertise in WSFSSH purchasing policy and all related regulatory requirements
Maintain a master list of current vendors and update this list periodically
Evaluate new vendor suitability and confirm credentials
Promptly report potential conflict of interest to management
Develop and execute negotiation strategies to secure favorable terms and pricing
Serve as the point person for receipt of Purchase orders (PO) from Building Managers
Collaborate with building managers, vendors and AP Team on purchasing matters
Determine optimal quantity and timing of deliveries to meet operational needs
Review POs for account coding and approval levels in compliance with policy
Evaluate bids to ensure compliance with policy
Obtain sign off from Contracts Manager on all Government funded purchases
Place vendor orders, in a timely manner
Research and recommend new Purchasing software to automate the purchasing function
Review vendor list to bring us in compliance to mandated Minority and Women Owned Business(MWBE) requirements.
REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND CREDENTIALS
4-year degree in supply chain management, logistics or business administration or a combination of education and relevant experience
Prior experience working as a Purchasing Manager (non-profit experience a plus)
Proven experience with sourcing and vendor management software
Strong negotiation and networking skills
Ability to gather, interpret and analyze data
Accuracy working with figures
Physical Requirements
Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Must be able to lift or push up to 10 pounds at a time.
Travel within our sites as needed.
