Assessment : Identifies and documents initial observations, systematically assesses nursing needs, selects, plans, evaluates, and documents care, initiates referrals, and meets educational, psychosocial, and discharge planning needs. Direct Patient Care : Provides comprehensive patient care, initiates and follows through with patient and family teaching, documents response to treatment, and completes admissions, discharges, and groups in the electronic medical record. Indirect Patient Care Activities : Participates in interdisciplinary rounds, applies infection control principles, adheres to the Medical Center’s Code of Conduct, and maintains a customer‑service mindset focused on timely, professional, and respectful interactions. Other Duties : Orients patients, assists in quality data collection, utilizes hospital computer systems, supports emergency codes, attends unit meetings, and performs related duties as assigned to support departmental objectives. Position Qualifications
Current NJ licensure as RN. BLS, ACLS, PALS, and IV Therapy certification. One year behavioral health experience preferred with focus on admissions, discharges, and group management related to Depressive Disorders and Self‑Harm behaviors. Clinical nursing skills for an experienced behavioral health RN. Good oral and written communication skills and good interpersonal skills. Speaks, reads, and writes English to the extent required by the position. Education
Graduation from an accredited school of Nursing with a BSN required. Job Setting/Physical Demands
Behavioral Health Service Units – frequent prolonged standing/walking. Protective clothing worn: face shield, gloves, impermeable gown when required for infection control protocol; otherwise, behavioral health dress code; presentable street clothes. Ability to work semi‑independently under the supervision of NM/ADNs. Salary
$46.94–$66.43/Hour.
Differentials:
WEEKEND $2.25 PER HR; EVENING DIFF 10%; NIGHT 12%/CHARGE PAY $2.25 PER HR. Benefits
