You will be working alongside a full-time Consultant Psychiatrist/ Regional Medical Director, a full time Speciality Doctor who works across the three wards, and a full time Medical Secretary.
Main duties of the job The main responsibility of the job is in the role of Responsible Clinician for up to ten in-patients on Arley Ward and in provision of clinical leadership to the team on the ward. A successful candidate would also be expected to undertake assessments of new referrals and may bring their own additional clinical skills to the role
Working hours are typically 2.5 days per week on site however, how this is structured can be discussed at the interview and we are able to consider flexible working hours.
There is strong governance structure within the hospital and region, and the successful applicant will be expected to take an active role in service and quality development activities and to participate in governance meetings and R&R Service Line meetings, as necessary.
Priory Hospital Solihull operates a non-residential medical on call rota with other sites and the post holder is expected to participate on the on-call rota.

Job responsibilities Priory Hospital Solihull are looking for a Consultant Psychiatrist to join the team on a part-time basis, managing an in-patient caseload on Arley Ward across 18.75 hours per week.

Requirements
Full registration with a licence to practise with the GMC is required. Those trained in the UK should have evidence of higher specialist training leading to CCT or be within 6 months of confirmed entry from date of interview or eligibility for specialist registration (CESR).
Candidates must have a higher medical qualification (MRCPsych or equivalent) and must have maintained Section 12, Approved Clinician and Responsible Clinician status.
Disclosure and Barring Service Check This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly known as CRB) to check for any previous criminal convictions.
