ASSYST is seeking a
Senior Full Stack Engineer
to lead the development of complex, high‑scale web applications for our upcoming project with our federal client in
Sterling, VA.
As a senior member of the team, the candidate will be responsible for defining technical strategy, architecting robust systems, and driving engineering excellence through mentorship and best practices.

Due to federal contract requirements, this position is restricted to U.S. citizens or lawful permanent residents.
Job Location:
Sterling, VA (Onsite)
Technical Requirements:
5–8+ years in full‑stack development with expertise across frontend and backend
Proven experience leading projects or mentoring team members
Proficiency in frontend frameworks: React, Angular, Vue
Strong backend development skills with Node.js, Python, Java, Spark
Advanced knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript
Expertise in REST/GraphQL API design
Hands‑on experience with OpenShift, Kubernetes, and Data Bricks
Ability to design scalable, maintainable web applications
Knowledge of SQL/NoSQL databases, caching strategies, and authentication mechanisms
Experience with CI/CD pipelines and cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, Azure)
Strong problem‑solving and analytical abilities
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Commitment to code quality, documentation, and agile practices
Experience with microservices and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes)
Familiarity with testing frameworks and DevOps practices
Specialization in performance optimization, security, or mobile/web hybrid applications
