About the Role We are seeking an experienced Brake Press Set Up / Operator to support daily fabrication and metal forming operations. This role involves setting up and running brake press jobs, working closely with quality teams, and producing precision fabricated parts that meet print and tooling requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Set up and operate brake press equipment for daily production jobs
Read and interpret blueprints, CAD drawings, and GD&T requirements
Fabricate parts to meet gage and tooling specifications
Work with the CMM/quality team to obtain part buy-off
Perform metal work including grinding and finishing
Inspect parts to ensure quality and dimensional accuracy
Maintain an organized and clean work area
Follow safety procedures and shop standards
Support continuous improvement and efficient workflow
Required Qualifications
5+ years of experience as a brake press set up / operator
Fabrication experience (required)
Strong blueprint and CAD drawing interpretation skills
GD&T knowledge
Experience using hand tools and shop equipment
Organized, dependable, and positive attitude
Preferred / Nice to Have
Welding experience
Familiarity with MES systems
Experience with qualifying and processing parts
