Medical Technologist I – Hematology (Job #2506003493) Location: DMC University Laboratories, Inc. – Night Shift (11:00 PM – 7:30 AM) Full‑time position offering a competitive sign‑on bonus of $15,000 for qualified candidates. Job Summary
Under general supervision, the Medical Technologist performs quantitative and qualitative laboratory tests on patient specimens, analyses test results, maintains records, and ensures validity of solutions, reagents, media, stains, and materials. Responsibilities include processing all specimen types, reviewing and reporting lab results, operating and troubleshooting laboratory instrumentation, and acting as a resource to other laboratory personnel. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university or graduate of an accredited school of medical technology, or equivalent such as military training defined by 42 CFR 493.1489. Prefer 6 months to 1 year experience as a medical laboratory technologist or clinical laboratory scientist in an acute‑care facility. Required: Registered or eligible in accordance with an approved certifying agency (ASCP, NCA, AMT, CSMLS) within 12 months of hire. Licensure, as required by State, must be completed within 30 days of hire. Skills Required
Analytical ability to interpret and analyze test results. Interpersonal skills to work effectively with all areas of a physician office. Manual dexterity and visual acuity to operate various types of laboratory equipment. Visual acuity to closely examine specimens. Benefits
