Position Summary Our client is seeking a strategic and technically accomplishedольку

to lead and execute its
Tax Advisory Services
practice. This role serves as a trusted advisor to high-value clients, delivering sophisticated tax planning, compliance oversight, and integrated wealth strategies.
The Director will oversee engagement delivery, ensure technical excellence, drive operationalňiz╡ efficiency planes, and maintain a high‑touch client experience. This role includes leading and mentoring a team, leveraging technology to innovate tax workflows, and collaborating closely with firm leadership on financial planning, engagement economics, and growth initiatives.
This position is ideally based in
Philadelphia, PA
or Wilmington, DE , where the firm maintains a strong in‑office culture.
New York Metro‑based candidates
will also be considered if willing to be on‑site in Philadelphia or Wilmington
1–2 days per week .
Essential Functions & Key Responsibilities
Contribute to the strategic direction of the Tax Advisory Services practice and lead its execution in alignment with senior leadership
Serve as a trusted advisor to high‑value clients, including entrepreneurs, executives, and family offices
Deliver personalized tax planning, compliance oversight, and integrated wealth strategies
Oversee client service delivery to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and a high‑touch experience
Design and implement innovative, compliant tax strategies aligned with client objectives
Monitorwart engagement performance (realization, utilization, profitability) and drive improvements
Collaborate with leadership on billing structures, client onboarding, and engagement economics
Partner with Operations and Finance on budgeting, forecasting, and resource planning
Champion a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous development
Develop and mentor high‑potential talent for future leadership roles
Ensure compliance with firm policies, risk protocols, and quality standards
Leverage technology and analytics to streamline workflows and enhance insights
Supervisory Responsibility This role directly supervises
Senior Managers and Managers
within the Tax Advisory Services group.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
CPA or EA designation
10–15 years of progressive tax experience
Significant experience with high‑net‑worth individuals, closely held businesses, and multi‑entity structures
Strong technical knowledge of federal, state, and local tax laws
Experience with S corporations, partnerships, and trusts
Proven ability to manage client relationships and lead high‑performing teams
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong leadership, mentoring, and collaboration capabilities
Willingness to work an average of 48–50 hours per week
Strong analytical skills and a solutions‑oriented mindset
Alignment with a values‑driven, high‑performance culture
Entrepreneurial mindset and long‑term commitment to firm growth
Ability to commute to Philadelphia, PA or Wilmington, DE offices as required
Willingness to work in‑office an average of four days per week (policy subject to change)
Desired Qualifications
Master’s degree in Taxation, JD, or related advanced credential
Prior experience at a Big 4 or leading regional accounting/advisory firm
Experience preparing and reviewing S Corporation and trust tax returns
Familiarity with sales and use tax compliance and advisory matters
Experience advising on complex tax positions and planning strategies
Transactional experience (M&A, entity restructuring)
Working knowledge of CCH Axcess, CCH Engagement, or similar platforms
