Position Overview Our Client is seeking a detail-oriented Estimator with commercial construction experience to join our dynamic team. This role plays a critical part in pre-construction success by developing accurate cost estimates, preparing competitive bid proposals, and collaborating across departments to ensure project profitability and alignment with client expectations.

Key Responsibilities

Review and interpret architectural and engineering drawings, project plans, and specifications

Prepare comprehensive material, labor, and equipment cost estimates for commercial construction projects.

Conduct detailed quantity take-offs and cost analyses.

Solicit, evaluate, and coordinate subcontractor and vendor bids.

Develop and submit competitive bid proposals in a timely manner.

Collaborate with project managers, field personnel, and suppliers to validate assumptions

Maintain and update historical cost databases and estimating tools for future use.

Ensure compliance with industry standards, building codes, and contract requirements

Qualifications We’re looking for candidates who bring:

3+ years of commercial construction estimating experience

(including hardware/doors/finish systems a plus).

Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.

Proven experience preparing detailed estimates and proposals.

Proficiency in

estimating software

and

Microsoft Excel

Excellent analytical, math, and problem-solving skills.

Strong organization and the ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.

Effective communication skills — both written and verbal

Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or related field preferred but not required.
