The Department of Physician Assistant (PA) Studies in the University of Tennessee Health Science Center College of Medicine is accepting applications for a full-time, twelve-month, non-tenure track Assistant/Associate Professor faculty position. Academic rank at time of appointment shall be commensurate with credentials and experience. Responsibilities

Developing, reviewing, and revising as necessary the mission statement, goals, and competencies of the program. Selecting applicants for admission to the PA program. Providing student instruction. Academic counseling of students. Assuring the availability of remedial instruction. Designing, implementing, coordinating, and evaluating the curriculum. Evaluating the program. Qualifications

EDUCATION: Master’s Degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program. EXPERIENCE: Three (3) years of clinical experience with a history of precepting PA students or other medical trainees, or one (1) year of clinical experience with additional training in teaching, education, or involvement in an academic medical training program (PA, MD, DO). LICENSE/CERTIFICATIONS:

Current NCCPA or Medical Specialty Board certification. Eligibility for a Tennessee Physician Assistant or Medical license (licensure required).
