Compensation: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour
The Position We teach fun swim lessons and keep it safe. We’re looking for energetic individuals who can roll up their sleeves, juggle multiple responsibilities, and ask, “Is that all you’ve got?”
As a swim instructor, you’ll receive training to teach our program from 3‑month‑old through adults. You’ll support both San Jose and Fremont locations and accommodate a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Your Typical Responsibilities
Report directly to the Aquatics Manager and Business Owner.
Instruct swim lessons following British Swim School training standards; maintain certifications throughout employment.
Work a flexible schedule that may include evenings (3:30 pm‑7:30 pm), weekends (10 am‑2 pm), and holidays as required.
Be required to teach at any of the company locations (San Jose or Fremont).
Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma, equivalent, or in the process of completion.
Enthusiastic personality.
Comfortable in and around water; strong swimming skills required.
Must maintain certifications throughout the length of employment.
Must complete all required British Swim School aquatics‑specific training and testing.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working withaatit children UAV.
Swimming experience: swim team, water polo, or swim instructor.
Customer service skills (1 year preferred).
Lifeguarding/First Aid/CPR/AED certification(s) preferred.
