The Role Your Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership:
Develop, refine, and execute the long-term global strategy for the Baking Enzymes business
Define key market segments, customer targets, and competitive positioning
Build compelling business cases including segment definitions, customer value propositions, and growth opportunities
Communicate vision and strategy clearly to internal teams and external stakeholders, ensuring alignment across regions and functions.
Oversee the global P&L and deliver against established financial and profitability targets
Own the global product and portfolio strategy, including pricing, lifecycle management, and innovation priorities
Prioritize and steer R&D activities to ensure alignment with strategic goals and market needs
About You We are looking for an entrepreneurial and customer focused outgoing individual with excellent interpersonal and communication skills. You bring proven leadership skills and you are a team-player.
Additionally, the candidate:
Is highly result-oriented, committed, holistic, and entrepreneurial with substantial organizational, analytical, and problem solving skills
Enjoys collaborating and networking with colleagues from different departments and global regions
Has extensive experience in the European baking or baking ingredients industry, with a strong understanding of market dynamics, customer needs, and industry trends.
Brings a strong network across the baking value chain; enzymes, particularly in baking applications, is a significant advantage but not required
Proven strategic acumen, including the ability to identify, evaluate, and capitalize on technology and market trends
A track record of business leadership, including P&L responsibility, strategic execution, and successful team leadership in a comparable environment
Flexibility and willingness to travel internationally up to 30% for customer visits, industry events, and regional team support
Willingness to be based in or relocate to Darmstadt, our global headquarters, to remain closely connected to our operational and innovation hub
has the ability to prioritize and effectively manage multiple tasks / projects at the same time and is used to working under pressure within an international environment
Is vigilant and flexible in order to adapt to changing market dynamics, identify market opportunities and threats and to develop appropriate measures
Fluency in English (both written and spoken); proficiency in German is a plus.
