Job Title R&D Semiconductor Process Technician – Full‑Time (Thornton, CO)
Job Overview This onsite position in our Thornton office supports Forge Nano’s advanced layer deposition (ALX) processes as a wafer technician.
Responsibilities
Perform housekeeping, maintenance, and organization of the wafer laboratory and inventory areas.
Prepare documentation for procedures, processes, and best‑known‑methods (work instructions, SOPs).
Maintain accurate records of all work and data.
Execute experimental plans on ALD production tools, operating equipment and troubleshooting software and hardware issues.
Assist with daily maintenance and operation of wafer ALD tools, including loading/unloading, monitoring, refreshing chemicals, cleaning wafers, system checks, and preventive maintenance.
Conduct basic quality control and process diagnostics.
Maintain a safe work environment and stay OSHA compliant.
Required Education & Experience
AS in physics, chemistry, materials, or equivalent engineering field, or 1+ year fab experience.
1 year hands‑on laboratory experience.
Preferred Skills & Experience
Self‑driven problem‑solving skills.
Team collaboration and communication skills.
Wafer handling experience.
Vacuum equipment experience.
Experience in an industrial company with advanced materials manufacturing.
Work Environment This is not a remote job. Work is carried out onsite in a research laboratory handling hazardous chemicals. Employees must wear appropriate safety equipment (eye protection, gloves, steel‑toe shoes, lab coat, hard hat). Adherence to corporate and plant safety policies is required.
Physical Demands Standing, walking, using hands to handle materials, frequent use of arms. Work may involve moderate noise and occasional proximity to moving mechanical parts.
Travel No travel required.
Compensation & Benefits
Hourly: $25–$29 depending on qualifications.
