Summary
The Waterjet / Laser Operator is primarily responsible for laser cutting to specified dimensions, while contributing to team efforts for operating in a safe environment for the timely delivery of quality parts by maximizing first run production of parts to router requirements.
Primary Responsibilities
serez Determines sequence of operations by studying the router, blueprints, specifications, and work orders.
Loads the appropriate computer program to operate thelaser for the part in process.
Prepares machine for production by positioning parts on laser table with clamps or jigs.
Regulates machines by setting and adjusting controls.
Resolves production problems by adjusting controls and process materials to meet specifications; notifies supervisor for additional resources when necessary.
Ensures operation of equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on a timely basis, following manufacturer's instructions, troubleshooting malfunctions, and alerting supervisor of necessity of repairs.
Maintains continuity among work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.
Documents actions by completing production and quality logs.
Contributes to continuous improvement process.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Knowledge: A High School Diploma or GED is required for this position as well as 1 to 3 years of Manufacturing Experience.
Abilities: Manufacturing Quality, Controls and Instrumentation, Mechanical Inspection Tools, Decision Making, and basic reading and math skills (minimum of 8th grade level).
Skills: Problem Solving, understands copy exact requirements, experience with OSHA compliance.
Physical Requirements
ہاتھ Ability to lift up to 50lbs+.
Ability to bend and to stand or walk for long periods of time.
