Central Georgia Equine Services is a growing equine practice located 100 miles south of Atlanta. Our equine exclusive practice is based on the care of the “family horse”. Located near Robins Air Force Base this is a thriving community that remains economically stable regardless of politics or the stock market. The practice services a diverse client and patient population, representing all types of disciplines with a large recreational/pleasure component, as well as high level performance horses. Our clientele has come to expect a high standard of medicine and compassionate care from our professional and support staff.

We offer a diverse menu of services including preventative health care, dentistry, lameness evaluations and diagnostics including wireless digital radiography, ultrasound and endoscopy (upper respiratory, gastroscopy, hysteroscopy, oral and urinary tract). Our clinic farrier services the clinic weekly to handle our podiatry caseload. We offer stallion semen collection and freezing as well as foaling and embryo transfer. Our clinic features 22 stalls with an extensive array of board fenced paddocks and pastures. Out foaling barn and ICU stalls are under 24-hour camera surveillance. We maintain two ambulatory vehicles for farm calls. On in-house laboratory features Abaxis analyzers, serum amyloid A readers, lactate meters, IgG analysis and the Fluxergy PCR system for Salmonella and Strep equi. We offer shockwave therapy, IRAP, Pro-Stride and a large variety of injectable therapies to achieve optimal patient results.

The position is for an individual that has an interest in coming to the region to establish a strong long-term relationship with the practice, the clients, and the horses we care for. The opportunity exists for the successful associate to personalize their development. If your practice dreams include a special interest in lameness, dentistry, chiropractic, acupuncture, sport’s medicine, reproduction, rehabilitation and so many more interests we want to hear about your dreams and goals. When you succeed, we succeed. Our veterinarians do not go out alone. Each veterinarian is accompanied by a veterinary assistant at all times, days, nights, weekends and holidays included, no exceptions. Emergency duty is shared equally. We have modified our practice emergency coverage for a better quality of life and emergency cases are not accepted after 10pm. Clinic hours are 8am to 5pm Monday through Friday.

Competitive base salary is offered with emergency fees paid directly to the associate. Additional benefits include professional liability insurance, health insurance, professional dues and licenses, continuing education, and clothing stipend. Local, regional, national, and international volunteer opportunities are highly encouraged and supported. We want to see you involved in the equine industry and in our local community.

Our location allows easy access to the cities of Perry, Warner Robins and Macon for shopping, dining, theater and adventure. Traveling to farm calls frequently take us past pecan and peach orchards and a host of row crops.
