Our client is a leading multinational engineering services provider and general contractor who specializes in mission critical turnkey solutions. Employing over 750 professionals and deliver leading-edge construction solutions across a range of key sectors including Data Centre’s, Healthcare, Life Sciences and Technology, Fire protection, Building Services, and Technical Support Services. They are currently looking for an Electrical Project Manager to join them on a Data Centre in Europe.
You will be responsible for:
Plan, organise, and oversee all electrical aspects of the data centre construction project, ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and to quality standards.
Lead and coordinate electrical design, procurement, installation, and commissioning activities, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and subcontractors.
Develop and manage the electrical project schedule, monitoring progress, identifying risks, and implementing mitigation plans to meet critical milestones.
Control project budgets and costs related to electrical works, preparing forecasts, managing change orders, and supporting commercial negotiations.
Ensure compliance with relevant electrical codes, safety regulations, and data centre-specific standards throughout the project lifecycle.
Manage communication with clients, consultants, contractors, and suppliers to facilitate effective collaboration and address technical or commercial issues.
Oversee quality assurance and quality control processes for electrical installations, ensuring all works meet design and industry standards.
Support project close-out activities by ensuring completion of documentation, as-built drawings, test reports, and handover packages for electrical systems.
You will need:
Degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
Proven experience (typically 5+ years) managing electrical packages on large-scale construction projects, ideally within data centres or other mission-critical environments.
Strong leadership and team management skills with a track record of successful project delivery.
Excellent organisational, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
In-depth knowledge of electrical systems, installation methods, and relevant industry standards and regulations.
Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams and effectively manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
